A global meeting focused on the challenges of managing national oil and gas data repositories
The National Data Repository Work Group meetings are held regularly as a platform for member countries and companies from around the world to meet and discuss topics and issues unique to the area of data management for national repositories.
Each meeting provides insight into the latest technologies, standards and best practices as well as providing a forum for networking and sharing of ideas with your international peers. Regulators have long realized that collecting and storing data is not a competitive activity. Collaborating on business processes, such as data quality, and the related standards for data exchange can deliver real benefits and costs savings. This is why during this NDR meetings government regulators, petroleum industry experts and others discuss the collection and storage of increasing volumes of data associated with oil and gas exploration and production around the world.
NDR2017 met or exceeded everyone’s expectations! At the final count, we had a total of 165 delegates from 30 countries and 20 sponsors. The various presentations, breakouts and standards sessions were both interesting and useful, and everyone had a chance to network with peers from around the world. This years NDR2019 will be hosted by TNO and take place from 14 - 17 October 2019 in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
